Why 'kaleidoscope'?

They represent:

- diversity - like the members on this site

- creativity - as it is hoped will be demonstrated by members through this site

- some semblance of order - as to be demonstrated by the relationships and interactions of members through this site.


Why 'The Market Place'?

A market place is seen to underpin the culture of a community - the quality pursued in products and services, and the quality of relationships between buyers and sellers - along a spectrum of fair and mutual to ruthless and greedy.


This website is about creating a market place which pursues outstanding quality in relationships and what is to be 'traded'.


So what is new and exciting about this site?

Sure there are services out there doing some of the things this site is trying to do, but we don't think there are any which are trying to bring them all together in a way which actually builds community towards a common purpose of sharing and caring for each other and the world we inhabit.


It is very early days and we need to work towards a critical mass of members to join before we can truly deliver on the vision.  Hopefully we won't have too long to wait and that you will continue to visit our site and help to grow the activity it supports.


How do I join?

Its easy.  Username so we know what to call you.  Email address so we can contact you. Postcode, State and Country so we know sort of where you are located.  Some sort of image which can give everyone a visual connection to you.


Are there any costs?

There is currently no joining fee.  Costs of items for sale, rent or hire are between you and the 'vendor' and will be based on what you agree as the fair value. 


How do I ensure quality?

You need to ask all the questions necessary to give you confidence that what you are getting/sharing is what you are expecting.  The quality delivered is up to the person providing and you for accepting.


What if something goes wrong?

If a disagreement arises between you and another 'member' and you can't resolve this between yourselves, please post a ticket of complaint and someone will be in contact to help you sort out the issue.
